On the Road Again

I’ve been thinking about it for a while and I decided today was the day. I’m back on the bike outside (video below)! Not the road bike I was riding four months ago before my accident, though (yet). I decided to work up to that and ride my hybrid first. It’s a little easier to get on and off, it doesn’t have toe clips, and the wider tires are more stable on our gravel driveway. I have to admit I was a little nervous at first, but I quickly decided that it really was like riding a bike. I also discovered that, despite all my physical therapy, there are leg muscles I may have forgotten I have. I look forward to rebuilding those!

I also want to wish my incredible wife a happy 36th anniversary! I wouldn’t be back on the bike so soon without her love and support.
